HOA REQUIREMENTS

PERMITS
Owners are required to obtain permits from any governmental entities for filming which requires a permit and shall submit a copy of that permit to the Association in advance of any filming or production.

APPLICATIONS
The homeowner is responsible for submitting a Filming Application and a signed, executed Homeowner Filming Agreement a minimum of five (5) business days before the first day of Production.

INSURANCE
GL in the minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence policy limits.

KPOA Filming Committee will evaluate all filming requests in this area using the following minimum criteria:
● Number of filming days requested
● Cast and crew size
● Production footprint, impact on cul-de-sac traffic flow and access
● Special circumstances of the site including narrow streets, cul-de-sacs, safety hazards, etc.
● Proposed activities (effects, excessive noise, cranes, etc.)
● Special effects that include, but not limited to explosions, high-speed chases, fires, vehicle crashes,
simulated gunfire, noxious gases and low flying drones & helicopters
● Base camp location and parking impact near the requested location
● Any substantial prepping and striking activities
● Proximity and scheduling of concurrent filming activities
● Duration and frequency of recent filming at the location
● Recent problems or complaints

NOTICE/FilmLA SURVEYS
Residents on blocks affected by filming activities must be notified at least three (3) days in advance of the first day of filming, or the first day of any set preparation.
FILMING RULES
● Filming is permitted between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Filming is not
permitted during other hours, or on weekends and holidays (federal, state and religious). No production
vehicles are allowed to arrive prior to 7:00 a.m. and must depart area “tail lights” by 10:00 p.m.
● The KPOA limits filming to a maximum of four (4) production days total per individual home, per calendar
year.
● No single shoot should last more than four (4) consecutive days, inclusive of set-up and strike days.
● Filming is limited to one production company per day, per property.
● Production days are limited to a total of forty (40) days, per calendar year within the entire Association.
Once forty (40) days have been used in the entire community, no more production or Filming Activity shall
be allowed for the remainder of the calendar year.
● ‘Filming Activity’ shall not include filming done for personal purposes (birthday parties, graduations, etc.)
which are incidental to a regular residential use of property. Filming Activity refers to all other filming which
is done for pecuniary or commercial purposes, whether for profit or not for profit.
● Sidewalks and driveways must be kept clear at all times.
● No cast or crew parking is allowed; an off-site base camp with shuttles to the location house must be
arranged.
● Production vehicles may park only on the side of the street of the location house.
● Film company vehicles must not interfere with scheduled trash collection (Monday), gardeners’ activities,
mail delivery, access to residents’ driveways and street safety.
● Craft services, catering trucks, food preparation tables, and dining tables are not permitted on sidewalks,
streets or parkways.
● A generator (one only), with the proper noise shield, is to be situated at the location house in an area of
minimal disturbance to neighboring residences.
● Lighting is to be confined to the specific site and shall not adversely impact neighbors or traffic.
● An off-duty/retired police officer, site representative and/or a FilmLA monitor must be present at all times
at the location house.

HOA FEES
Filming Application Fee: $25.00
Filming Fee Per Lot:
Set-up, Shoot and Strike Days $500/day
